The Rockchip RV1106 is a highly integrated vision processor System on Chip (SoC) tailored for IPC applications, particularly those involving AI. It is built around a single-core ARM Cortex-A7 32-bit processor equipped with NEON and FPU. The device includes 32KB instruction and data caches, alongside a 128KB unified L2 cache. Its integrated NPU supports hybrid operations in formats like INT4, INT8, and INT16, delivering up to 0.5 TOPs of computing power.

Thanks to its broad compatibility, models developed with frameworks such as TensorFlow, MXNet, PyTorch, and Caffe can be effortlessly adapted. This model introduces a new generation of fully hardware-based ISP capable of handling up to 5 Megapixels. It features various algorithm accelerators, including HDR, 3A, LSC, sharpening, dehaze, and gamma correction. The system supports multiple video interfaces- two MIPI CSI (or LVDS) and one DVP (BT.601/BT.656/BT.1120) – enabling it to connect with up to three camera sensors simultaneously.

Its embedded video encoder supports H.265 and H.264, facilitating high-resolution video encoding, local storage, and real-time lower-resolution streaming to the cloud. An integrated intelligent video engine with 22 processing units accelerates video tasks. Additionally, RV1106 includes a built-in 16-bit DDR3L DRAM capable of handling high memory bandwidth requirements, along with integrated RTC, POR, an audio codec, and MAC PHY.
