High-Tech Robotics and Embodied Intelligence Industry Conference

Recently, the 2025 High-Mobility Intelligent Annual Conference, jointly organized by the GGII – High-Tech Robotics & Industrial Research Institute and the “High-Tech Humanoid Robot” division, was held in Shenzhen. During the event, the “2025 High-Mobility Intelligence Annual Power List” was released, recognizing 50 companies in the embodied-intelligence industry chain that have demonstrated outstanding performance in technological breakthroughs, product delivery, supply-chain restructuring, and commercial deployment. Rockchip Electronics Co., Ltd. was included on this authoritative list due to its innovative technology strategy in embodied intelligence, comprehensive chip solutions, and efficient industrial implementation-highlighting its leading position as a core driver of embodied intelligence.

Robot SDK and Full-Stack AI Chip Development

Embodied intelligence-considered the next phase of AI development-focuses on intelligent agents interacting in real time with their environment through their physical bodies. Its advancement relies heavily on the underlying chips’ overall capabilities in computing power, energy efficiency, multimodal perception, and interaction.

Rockchip has developed a comprehensive edge-side AI portfolio, offering a product matrix that includes high-performance co-processors along with high, mid, and low-end AI main control chips. These components efficiently support the deployment and inference of complex visual SLAM and multimodal large models (LMM) on the edge, empowering devices such as robots and smart terminals with robust environmental perception and cognitive decision-making capabilities.

Currently, Rockchip’s flagship chip RK3588 is widely used in various types of robots and is being commercially deployed across industries – including humanoid robots, robot dogs, service robots, industrial inspection robots, AGV (automated guided vehicle) handling robots, cleaning robots, companion robots, and in-vehicle digital humans.

Robot SDK by Rockchips

In response to the next generation of intelligent robot products, Rockchip has launched a dedicated Robot SDK and a compatible development board platform. This SDK is thoroughly customized based on Debian 11 + ROS2 system, fully leveraging the computing power of the Rockchip chip platform and helping customers quickly develop complete robot systems, from motion control and vision sensing to intelligent decision-making and human–machine interaction. The SDK offers three main advantages: performance optimization, module integration, and rapid onboarding. Specifically:

  1. Performance optimization: Unlocking platform potential
    • High-performance operator integration: built-in PCL operators and CV operators optimized for robot tasks, significantly improving performance in path planning, mapping, visual recognition, etc.
    • AMP real-time control system & EtherCAT master-station protocol deep integration: providing millisecond-level motion-control response, meeting the requirements of high-precision, multi-joint collaborative robot control.
    • Enhanced AI co-processing ability: combined with Rockchip’s RK182X AI co-processor, the SDK significantly improves inference efficiency, able to efficiently run multimodal large models such as LLM / VLM / VLA / VLN, supporting more natural semantic understanding and visual decision-making.
  2. Module integration: Accelerating development and deployment
    • Complete robot audio solution: provides multi-microphone voice-processing algorithms, including AI noise reduction, echo cancellation, sound-source localization, beam-forming modules – greatly improving voice-interaction experience.
    • High-quality vision perception algorithms: built-in stereo-vision depth estimation, distortion correction, anti-shaking optimization, etc., giving robots stable spatial perception and environmental-understanding ability.
    • Rich ModelZoo model library: contains frequently used recognition and decision models for robots, ready-to-use, helping customers build all kinds of robot application prototypes quickly.
  3. Rapid on-boarding: Lowering integration threshold
    • With Rockchip’s Robot SDK, customers can quickly complete modular building of motion control + vision perception + decision inference + business interaction under a unified software framework. The Robot SDK offers comprehensive interface specifications and sample projects, supports popular sensors and peripherals, which significantly shortens development time and simplifies system integration.

Rockchip’s entry into the “High-Mobility Intelligence Annual Power List” is a high recognition from the industry of its technological strength and market contribution. Standing at the starting point of the AIoT 2.0 era, they will continue to focus on the technical refinement of AI chips and edge-side computing power, look forward to cooperating with more terminal-side partners, digging deep into market demands, converting technical potential into industrial momentum, together pushing embodied intelligence to scale-up deployment in more scenarios, and achieving revolutionary improvements in industrial efficiency.
