Rockchip RK3588S2 is a low-power, high-performance processor designed for ARM-based PCs, edge computing devices, personal mobile internet devices, and other digital multimedia applications. It integrates a quad-core Cortex-A76 and a quad-core Cortex-A55, each with a separate NEON coprocessor.
Numerous powerful hardware engines provide optimized performance for high-end applications. RK3588S2 supports H.265 and VP9 decoders with capabilities of 8K@60fps, H.264 decoder at 8K@30fps, and AV1 decoder at 4K@60fps. It also supports H.264 and H.265 encoders at 8K@30fps, along with high-quality JPEG encoding/decoding, a specialized image preprocessor, and a Dostprocessor.
The integrated 3D GPU ensures full compatibility with OpenGLES 1.1, 2.0, and 3.2, OpenCL up to 2.2, and Vulkan 1.2. A dedicated 2D hardware engine with MMU maximizes display performance and enables very smooth operation.
RK3588S2 features a new generation, fully hardware-based, maximum 48-megapixel image signal processor (ISP). It includes numerous algorithm accelerators such as HDR, 3A, LSC, 3DNR, sharpening, dehazing, fisheye correction, gamma correction, and more
